    Variable cloud overnight, turning foggy with visibility falling to <150 Yards through the early hours. At observation, fog thinning somewhat, visibility now around 300 yards, sun disc faintly visible.

    Continuing dry with hazy sunny spells, high cloud thickened further towards late afternoon hiding the sun. Rather warm.

     A dry and mild night with variable cloud cover during the evening and low St spreading in during the early hours to give thick hill fog from around 0300 g.m.t.

    Currently it's dry and foggy although the fog has thinned in the last hour.

    Clear spells last night, light ENE breezes.

    Spells of hazy sunshine and warm and sultry this morning. Rather cloudy afternoon, bright intervals. Thunderstorm passed 3 or 4 miles to our east around 1600, some showers too from mid afternoon. Light to moderate SE breeze, although it was briefly NW first thing this morning. Recently veered SSW.

    Just to point out an inaccuracy in the forecasts I keep seeing. 'Mild away from the North East'.... well here in Glasgow we've not seen the sun for days and there's a chill wind that goes right through you. Don't think we've managed as high as 9c for about a week now.

     

    Getting ever more envious of anyone who sees anything other than a blanket of grey in the sky.

    A mainly dry and a mainly cloudy day although the cloud was mostly high and medium level stuff and thin enough, especially during the morning, to allow a little hazy brightness once the early morning fog had cleared around 0930 g.m.t.

    The cloud was thicker during the afternoon and eventually produced a few light showers of spots of rain from mid-afternoon onwards, though never enough to damp the roads.
