A cloudy and mild night with further moderate rain through the early hours. Overcast and damp underfoot to start the day. Sandy coloured deposits noted on windowsills and cars this morning. Mostly cloudy so far, just a few chinks of brightness.

Yesterday:

 

Variable cloud overnight, turning foggy with visibility falling to <150 Yards through the early hours. At observation, fog thinning somewhat, visibility now around 300 yards, sun disc faintly visible. The day was hazy allowing and bright spells or a little weak sunshine, warm though for late March. There was the odd spot of rain at times, by early evening the cloud increased further with thunderstorms breaking out over the area, this station caught a heavy one with briefly torrential rain and loud cracks of thunder. By nightfall the rain stopped.

Showers early yesterday evening and again during the early hours but dry by dawn with hill fog for an hour or so.

The morning has been dry with sunny periods after the clearance of early morning St.

the thick mist became fog sky obscured which slowly and erratically cleared to half cover shallow Cu by 1300

Early morning St dispersed by 0900 g.m.t to leave a dry morning with sunny intervals. Cu developed for a while during the late morning and seemed to threaten a shower but they dispersed again after 1300 g.m.t and the afternoon was dry and warm with sunny periods.

Clear periods last night led to a touch of ground frost, near calm.

Thin fog briefly around 0800, otherwise largely sunny to 1500, then thick Cs layers and only a few hazy sunny intervals. Light east breeze. Warm.

After overnight rain a lovely dry day with lots of sunshine,calm,max 13 deg feeling far warmer than anything we have had so far ,the first spring like day,min 8 deg
