Same here, despite the forecasts all day yesterday saying that today would be cloudy and wet throughout. What a letdown. Weather forecasters - what's the point?

Up to 1615 it was cloudy all day, breezy with just the odd spot of rain now and then after rain in the early hours. Since 1615 no more than about 3/8 total cloud cover

I find it hard to believe it is flat calm, where are you exactly?

 

8-12mph in my very sheltered back garden as you posted, 17 mph at the airport and the Fax chart suggested a gradient of 25 knots so 8-12 knots would be about the expected wind speed for south Yorkshire?

Not telling exactly, but about 12 miles west of Donny town centre..... when I posted the scene outside my window was as motionless as a photo - as it's been most of daylight hours.
