    Relationship between dew-point and temperature

It's 15.c here (Leeds) with a dew-point of -3, I'm confused as to why this happens, I know there can be a big variation at times but this seems excessive.

Ive tried searching this on-line but it doesn't seem to be coming up with anything.

It's as simple as low humidity, low moisture content means the temperature would have to fall rather low (below frost/dew point) before vapour turns to a liquid.
