A dry and mainly cloudy morning after early fog, just a few brief sunny intervals during mid-morning. The afternoon was mainly dry and cloudy with a few spots of rain from time to time during mid-afternoon before more persistent light rain arrived by early evening.

The S/SE wind became quite strong for a time during mid-afternoon but decreased as the rain set in.

Driving back to Wales in the evening encountered a very heavy downpour just east of Abergavenny at 1835, otherwise just a few spots during the journey with the sun coming out after the shower.
