    Hello,

Sorry to be so basic, but I'm hating the new Met website.

I just can't find the longer term UK outlook text forecasts?

They used to be on the UK forecast page.....but no more. (In fact I can't even get a UK forecast now without my location-forecast supervening)

    Len

You can also access the old site still for the text forecasts via this link http://www.metoffice.gov.uk/weather/uk/uk_forecast_weather.html - It has said this page will be removed later in the year since the new site went live

I detest the new Met Office website, it's abysmal and a nightmare to navigate.

I don't like it either, I liked the previous layout that was up until this month, but now it almost looks 'broken' to me, there's a 'you talked' we listened' news feature but not sure what public feedback they listened to.. It's takes more effort to navigate to pages now.

Thanks.....but this does not work for me

(1)Clicking on the word "Weather" does nothing!

(2)Clicking on the words "UK forecast" underneath (Did you mean this?) produces a "UK page" that is supervened (within a fraction of a second) by my location 5-day forecast

    Any more ideas?

Anyone else find it on the new site???

I dont like it either god knows who designed the website sometimes pro comany's not as good some individual who does work towards uni degree would charged government fraction.  One thing drives me nuts only got 5 hour short rain forecast then jumps 3 hour blocks, simply why.

Right then   Click on the link I posted here...http://www.metoffice.../public/weatherThen Scroll down to "UK Forecast's" then click on "UK Outlook"  Done! :D

Don't get me wrong, The website is not as user friendly as the old one, but it's not that difficult to find your way around, and once you have found your way it's as easy as the old site.

Here is the link to the actual UK Outlook if you still can not find it..http://www.metoffice.gov.uk/public/weather/forecast/hartington-hall-youth-hostel-derbyshire#?tab=regionalForecast

From there click on "UK forecast day 1-5" or "UK forecast day 6-30"

    • Exceptional warmth for western Europe as October begins

There'll be exceptionally warm temperatures for the time of year affecting much of western Europe during the coming days, but that warmth will only graze the UK for now. Next weekend may see a more direct hit with the potential for southerly winds to draw some of that heat north and take temperatures into the mid or high-twenties. Read the full update here
