Jeez, vanish from the regional thread for a while only to return and see we've expanded to encompass the wild and remote 'very' north of England. Cool. Shall we see if Yorkshire wants to join up next? How far south do you think we can push it?  :D

Only popped in as weather was finally exciting.

One boom today shook the whole office (Riccarton, W. Embra) - ceiling tiles vibrating and everything. Quality stuff.

Fair lashin down on the drive home.

Nice storm just blew over here, few horizontal bolts of lighting and a bit thunder as it approached, but seems to be clearing now

Looked good as it approached from the North with lightning visible but none left by the time it reached me,but a nice surprise anyway.

Very heavy downpour around 1.30pm today, bucket loads of torrential rain, albeit relatively shortlived. This evening was very pleasant with a lovely sunset, but it feels quite chilly, certainly too early yet to be sitting outside. We should manage to squeeze a couple of warmish days on Thursday and Friday, but could be a cloudy affair, before more generally cloudy skies come back on Saturday and the inevitable return to wind and rain. Could turn into a rather disappointing May this one.. just like last year.

No thunder or heavy rain here today but good sunny periods. Fantastic growth in the fields but cooling down very rapidly this evening already 4.9c.

1c at 6.00am this morning but with bright sunshine and a ground frost. Should harden up the growth.

We missed out on any further thunder & hail, the next storm brushed past to the west of Kelso. The one which did hit was a wee cracker though, hopefully a sign of things to come for the summer :good:

Meanwhile, for those who get the sun and warmth in the next few days, enjoy it :)

Who needs summer when you can have next week? Looking potentally quite explosive.................

Possible Storms at least first few days of next week :yahoo:

Although to clarify charts keep chopping and changing just because there seems to be energy around doesn't mean it will exactly happen

That's it, the washing is going out :good:

Need another rinse? :p

Windy here today for the first time in a while (took me a while to work out why the trees were dancing) and just a grey boring day. Monday was good but feels like a long time ago already.

Warm yesterday and warm again this morning and there's actually some sun at the moment. Largely though it's been a cloudy warmth. Brought the flies out though, my run around the woods last night was as much about trying not to have a second dinner as it was about keeping the legs moving.

A healthy North South divide on Satellite this morning so far, basking sunshine down the road and clagged up Atlantic Gunk spewing in from the West draped right across the country with attendant rainfail to follow.

Hopefully enough juice in el sol to provide some burn off and dismantle the grey blanket of doom !

Ah, didn't realise this thread was still going!

Warmest day of the year yesterday - managed 20.8c at Leuchars. Was still 19c in Crail at 6pm. Different story this morning. Overcast and 14c. Like Lorenzo am hoping the sun might break through but not looking too likely at the moment.

Bright sunny start soon clouded over and now very humid with spits of rain. Grass and crop growth is just fantastic compared to the last two springs. Currently 15.2c
