The stream is only as good as the mobile signal. They're in a rural area so it's going to be patchy at best.

mine's stuck on an 8 minute DVR loop, I was thinking the the plains are quite nondescript at times and scenery can be repetitive, but I swear they drove passed the same tree grove on the right several times, then I realised it was a DVR loop....lol

The stream will appear on the page when it's live - they'rs using a mobile signal so can be temperamental, best just to be patient with it if it doesn't appear :)

Thats ok Nick, ... Cheers. Ive always found that with 'Live streaming' cleaning one's cache before starting helps, inwhich i was doing, but still the same,

i just thought i was the only one maybe :)

Don't know if anyone else is having the same problem, but the streaming page keeps crashing internet explorer, causing It to close & reopen repeatedly?

Fine in Chrome, I would definitely recommend changing from IE!

Yep. Performance wise they are far better, and IE is riddled with security issues.

We've fixed this - the team have been chasing in states they don't usually go to so they weren't included on our system!

Apologies for reviving an old(ish) thread, but I'm a bit flummoxed by the storm chase page.  Earlier in this thread, there are references to the live stream being hidden within Livestream, accessible from the link on the page, and to the stream appearing clearly when it's running.  It seems to me that both cannot be the case - can someone please confirm how to view it?  I can only find clips from the last few days and the GPS tracking at present, but have no idea if that's because it isn't on, or I just can't find it!

Thanks.

Hello there Chris,

We are currently en route to our target area and we had to drive for miles through areas of Colorado with a very intermittent data signal and when we did get data it was very weak.  We are now Texas wihere the data is a lot stronger but will every now and then it may drop out.  when this happens Livestream uploads the previous stream video.  We will do our best to keep the stream working and running when chasing.

Cheers

Not sure what you're meaning about the stream being hidden, but anyway the link is below, it'll display recordings of recent streams when there's no live stream on, and will show  'live broadcast' in red at the top when the team are streaming.

Cheers Paul - I was referring to post #24, but it's actually obvious when live streaming is on!

Gee

Cheers - post #24 gave me the idea that it was far from obvious when live streaming was on, which isn't the case - it's pretty obvious!  Good luck for the rest of the day!
