    A dry night with clear periods. Some threatening looking cloud to the west for an hour or so this morning as a line of showers moved north over Staffordshire but the overhang of cloud from these is now clearing and in the last half hour it's become sunny and warm.

    Clear and sunny all day. Hazy this morning but blue skies now. A fourth consecutive day above 22C, which is surprising today as the wind has switched to the east.

    Clear spells early last night, clouded over.

    Thunderstorms passed to our east giving mostly distant rumbles 0530 - 0630, but with a few louder ones, also some brief heavy showers. No lightning seen.

    Periods of hazy sun 08 to 1200, then clouded over. A thunderstorm passed 4 miles to our NE 1240 to 50 giving some more thunder but no lightning seen. Mostly light rain at times 1230 to 1430, then some bright intervals. Warm this morning, cooled significantly in the light rain after midday, dropping from 22.4c (max) to 15c by 1400, although it regained a warm 19.7c late afternoon. Moderate variable but often SE breezes.
