That's all folks. For me anyway, although there is cloud around.

Should of bet money on that storm at 3:15pm , If it's gonna do it, it'll do it then.

But 2 storms, kinda makes up for the days we were storm free.

yay.

Well we have heavy rain now. No thunder I reckon the earlier rumble must have been a heavy lorry or something.

Just put new Batteries in the storm shield, as its taken a battering today......

Black in all directions, would be out on the road, but I can't be doing with the traffic!

Maybe in an hour or so, cameras fully charged.......

Good luck all and stay safe ( he says with his leg 2 inches from a piece cable connected to a mast which is the one of the highest thing around for miles....)

Is that it for now then?

I'm actually beginning to believe Thor is holding a brolly over Medway.

There's some convective stuff over the Channel moving N/NE - also, since the storms moved out of London it has been sunny and warm, with convection gradually building again this afternoon.

Wouldn't rule it out entirely.

Looks like that cell to the SE is weakening. It might intensify as it reaches land.

Let me have something! :(

If we are lucky we MIGHT get some remenants of that cell currently dipping its feet in the channel near Cherbourg. Fingers and toes crossed! Edited by jpro747

Have you had any thunder Chez? I've just got back from work (in Sheffield) and drove through a very intense downpour but heard no thunder/saw any lightning.

Hoping that stuff to the SE can track up here with some sferics still in it :)

Just starting to rain here now. Already had 12.6mm overnight so there could be some good totals today as long as the onshore breeze doesn't do its usual thing and kill it all off for us.

3 rumbles to the NE, and 3 strikes picked up NE of here

Not very optimistic for anything else today though unfortunately  :(

It'll just be plain rain here, there's no recent sferics.

2 rumbles of thunder/1 flash of lightning, between Sheffield & Worksop. Brightened up for a short while but has gone dark again with heavy rain.

Think you might be right. The really intense stuff is tracking for Lincs and E Yorks at the moment, with the western side of the rain lacking the same intensity and electrification. Just plain 'ol rain by the looks of it. Oh well :)

Kudos for the thunder though!  :good:
