tadpoles..... not growing

does anybody know why my frog tadpoles arent growing? they seem stuck in typical tadpole phase, by now they should have grown and started getting legs.i seem to remember that you can induce growth by feeding them dog food?... i dont want to try that unless its a bona fide method so im asking here!

They will attach to and eat a bit of meat, I would've suggested a strand of raw mince, cooked dog food might have preservatives or something.Does sound like they are hungry.If you can put them in proper pond water or from an outside butt it will be teaming with minute creatures like water fleas jiggling about, that's what they would be eating normally but they do graze algae on plants etc.

they are in a kids paddling pool because i want them to mature...i have no frogs. ive 2 ponds, one large, but they are full of newts and nests eat taddies...hence them being in a paddling pool (with pondweed).
