Bit of a punt this one but looking at latest obs and ppn distribution as of 18Z we might have a chance of isolated supercell development in the Snyder, TX area by 21Z this evening. It's very dependant on OFBs but I'm thinking a juxtaposition of said outflow confluence from the current southern area of cells and the one in the southern panhandle may enhance hodos enough to rotate developing storms in the I20 region and above area.

Yes think it is - meandering towards Big Spring, Having a problem getting organised though and fairly high-based but has been producing wall clouds on and off for half an hour.

Meso tightening on the Big Spring Cell and next cell to the SW looking better organised too. Conditions becoming more favourable IMO in next hour for a tornado or two.

Anyone on the I20 will be in a good position to hover betwen the two. Zachary hargrove just jumped to the 2nd one.

Ha Zachary H just had a hail hit them that sounded like a rock was thrown at them. Every time one of these cells has tightened it's then lost its grip. Could see the meso very clearly on the stream form the southern cell - though not very low.

You can see the dust being picked up by the inflow winds as they head south.

yeah I saw the gustnado too  - amazing quality stream, probably the best I've seen. Have to say that the meso looks a lot more business like than the current meso analysys would indicate, although I'm not expert

Oh the suspense of not being able to see what the net weather team have stopped to look at from the side of the road, all I can see is car in front and blue skies. A lot of excited to and fro with cameras and pointing though.

If the cell S of Midland isn't producing it should be. Decent hook signature and tight couplet now.

Hi all – We (Alistair chapman and I) are not streaming this year as we have a limit on the data card and we are on a budget!

We pick up severe  cells around Lemasa, TX quite early (14:30) and followed them down to Sterling City, TX of the next 7 hours – we saw impressive structure (again!) and also a brief but confirmed rope tornado out of Sterling city, We also observed a large dust crown north of Garden city (was reported as a muti-vortex) but with out any visible condensation.

We will target West Texas today – if I was younger I would be hauling up to North Dakota to set up for tomorrow – but that is a 21 hour drive!
