The chase season is flying by, it's nearly time for tour 3 to start already...

This is the final chase of the year based out of Dallas, with the final tour heading up north to start and end out of Denver. On this tour we have:

Staff

Paul Sherman - tour leader

Tom Lynch - driver and forecaster

Ian Michaelwaite - driver and technical

Dave Vicary - driver and technical

Guests

Frankie (chase virgin)
Quentin
Maxine
Jody (chase virgin)
Martin (chase virgin)
Brendan (chase virgin)
Andy (chase virgin)
Tony
Richard

Weather wise it looks like a haul north in towards Kansas or Nebraska may be needed to get in place for the first chase day, details on this may change though.

Hi all. I'm andy and I'm also glad I'm not the only chase Virgin. My flight is on Saturday. AA79 from LHR. Should arrive around 715pm. Look forward to meeting you all

Yay, not long to go now  :D

I'm on the lunchtime BA flight from Heathrow on Saturday (landing about 4pm local time) and staying at the Best Western Irving Inn. If anyone is around and wants to have a beer and try to beat the jetlag let me know! Looking forward to doing the first Walmart run

Cheers,

Tony

Great to see the excitement, and for those of you who are first-timers, it will be everything you dreamt it will be!

Hope to be able to continue to support the team from my armchair here in rural Hampshire.

91f here today (Irving), party cloudy and expecting possible rain showers tomorrow. Bootiful wevaa.

BA flight was an hour late in take off, which meamt arriving at DFW same time as 2 other international flights, taking 90 mins to get through immigration. 6 booths out of 60 open no rush!

Looks like a severe outbreak to hit the Midwest around Sunday onwards - steadily moving eastwards across the early part of next week. Detail still a bit patchy however.

Seems like most folk will be here by Saturday night. How's about Sunday breakfast in the IHOP just down W-Airport freeway past David & David's. Very tasty..

Morning All...

Looking forward to the start of the tour, looks like things are going to kick off with a bang with some classic Tornado Alley chasing! We will be back in DFW on Sunday to pick you all up.

Any questions just ask!

Enjoy the flight - hopefully with BA, free drinks makes it much nicer!

When all you early arrivers land later it's going to be pretty steamy in Dallas. (There's a free shuttle to the hotel in Irving by the way - you can get it from the car hire area).

Chase day 1 is still looking good, but a drive north may be be needed to get into position once the last people have arrived on Sunday.

Agree with Paul here and I'd be looking closely at next Weds and Thurs which have the ingredients for an OK Dryline classic at the moment.

Ok so I have organized for the shuttle for 11am in the morning to take people to the car rental to meet up with Paul. Please be ready to leave the hotel by 10:55 as I am not sure how many people need the shuttle. Paul will be parked outside the front of main car rental reception in the small parking area. Please reply if you do want to use the shuttle as I have booked 6 places but must refine this if the numbers are wrong or the shuttle won't leave.

Good to see that you are chasing today. I reckon if you leave DFW by midday then you can probably make Liberal KS (the southern extent of the 5% tornado zone) by around 5-6pm local time.  Good luck.
