Another view of the Paris supercell (via George Papavasileiou)! Amazing base and updraft structure! @reedtimmerTVN pic.twitter.com/wilQrmjLjH

As awesome as this looks, it also looks bloody terrifying.

Can someone explain what's actually happening here? I can see rain behind the lowering but is there rain from that too? Is that where the most severe part of the storm is?

Met Office showing heavy showers moving through here at 17:00 onwards!

Could it be 4 days in a row with thunder?!

thunder heard over towards Caerphilly this time - coming up your way I expect ancientsolar

Yes, I heard one crack, I think it's a little towards our East this time.. heading for Risca ! To be honest,  I probably could hear more, but I have the main Road infront of me.. and Caerphilly council have sent out their strimming men! :(

hope that fence isn't in a field, you might get struck by lightning

naff all here, as expected......nice cloudscapes though driving down the M5 from Brum, nice Cb's with glaciated tops over the Malvern Hills and across into Wales. I would've taken some piccies, but apparently the motorway police get the hump when you do that at 90mph (especially when rolling a smoke and pouring a flask of tea whilst steering the van with one's knees......by the way Mr Plod, if you're reading this, my name is John Smith of no fixed address and my vehicle reg is *censored*
