*Stormforce~beka* Oh I know, but I always hope the next season will be 'seasonal', only to be let down time and time again! 🙄

Dangerous55019 The problem with the Wheel of the Year is that it doesn’t match with the temperatures or nature. For example it’s not really summer in early May when you can still get light frosts in some areas and trees are not yet fully out. Early August is the warmest period of the year except mid-late July and we still get temperatures above 30C until mid September in some years, something that is very rare before late May.

Evening everyone. 🙂

So sorry I’ve suddenly went quiet… Real life and what have you… But hey… You don’t need to know about my problems.

A quick one for you all… Earlier this week, I had my first pre 20:00 sunset since April! 🌅

Because I was busy, I just popped outside to grab a quick photo.

Shot on 35mm (Kodak Gold 200 for the technically minded)… It was one of those shots to finish the film off. 📸🎞️

I hope you like the result? 🙂

Loss of daylight is at it's most rapid day on day now... any vestige of summer feel hereon vanishes in a flash regardless of temps, the combo of an ever weakening sun and darkening skies by half 7 being the reason.

Sooo, after having been struck down with the killer Manflu last week, this one slithered under my radar...

Last Thursday, 12th of September, was notable because in my neck of the woods, true and total darkness descended at 21:36... The reason this is notable is because at the time of the summer solstice... This was the time of the sunset! Nowadays its setting much earlier of course.

I had planned to go back to the same spot that I photographed the solstice sunset and do a long exposure night shot just to show what a couple of months difference can make... But the onset of the killer Manthrax put pay to that! Lol 🤧

But I'll leave the Time and Date website link here, incase anyone fancies doing what I failed to do. 🙂👍

Dangerous55019 The pace of change is amazing around the equinox.

Sunrise around 6am on 22nd Aug, two months later, just before the clocks change, it is two hours earlier at 8am.  Not a transition I welcome, but still find the changes facinating as the weather and nature change too.   I'm already looking forward to the two months from 22nd February to 22nd April!
