Ahh, didn't have the smiley until I put this into a quote.....

So, is there info to base this approaching heatwave on somewhere?

                      OR

Is it totally an unfound headline story indicitive of this rag.....??

The latter, it's the DM & frankly they should be shut down. In winter they "report" an ice age.

Hmmmmm, nobody has mentioned this yet, and I do use the BBC weather forecasts as a basic start point....

What do you think, and could it have an associated storm risk???

I know it's a newspaper that's rebound for sensationalistic weather front pages, but surely it's got to be based on facts from somewhere???

Monday 7th July 2014

Honestly, never ever even entertain the idea of reading this POS.

If you even see it on display at a newsagents, set it on fire to save others.

As long as you chuck the Daily Express on the fire as well  :good:

Wouldn't use either paper to line a cats litter tray ,absolute rubbish papers !!!.....

My cat doesn't like the Daily Express either! Prefers the Guardian! Looks like showers out there! Caught some decent ones yesterday, minus T&L!

Ooooooh errrrrrrrr!!

Can't believe they are that bad.....

So do they not use any weather service at all?

Or is there a controversial forecasting service out there that provides dodgy forecasts?? You know, using stone scatter and tea leave direction after a 5 minute tea mash to gauge weather????

I think they trawl the internet, find a fact from a reputable source like 'Models suggest that its going to be warm next week' , then create a sensationalist story, twisting the facts which they then sell to the gullible for £££

Lots of cells forming to the west of here, but the onshore breeze is keeping them away from this area yet again.

Can hear thunder in the distance now.

Thunderstorms becoming more frequent now across the UK, so looking like a great day for many! Some distane thunder heard here, the next couple of hours will be interesting!

W09...Good to hear from you :good:

Still hearing the odd rumble from the cell... which seems now to be edging itself towards the city

Edit; .....and away from the city...no wait... just sitting over Aldridge :whistling:

Look at this for a cloud structure, looks spectacular and producing deep rumbles of thunder! Intense cells popping up all around but yet none of them have given me a direct hit...

Dubai Floods: Another Warning Sign for Desert Regions?

The flooding in the Middle East desert city of Dubai earlier in the week followed record-breaking rainfall.
