Oh dear where has summer disappeared too today? A reminder why moist westerlies deliver poor conditions to the Lake District. Its been a miserable cloudy windy day with light rain early on becoming heavy later this afternoon/evening - it currently feels like early autumn. Maxes of 15 degrees - preety poor going and a real shock, been a long time since we have had an evening of this feel.

Lets hope it is a one off.

A sunny start to the day, the sunshine reduced to occasional sunny intervals by late morning as Cu developed and spread into Sc. During the afternoon thickening Ac and As brought one or two spots of rain accompanied by an increasing SW breeze.
