July 2014 in top ten warmest and sunniest

Good. It has a been something resembling summer. Here in the NW our averages don't resemble anything like a "summer" I could care to mention, but this July has seen an average high over 20 degrees, less than 50mm of rain, and more than 200 hours of sun. That is impressive for us. Of course, winter starts the day after tomorrow, in August, and quite normally, the conditions have soured just in time, with a biting subarctic chilblain inducing 16°C and wind, and drizzle. What a shame that August must "poop in the pie" of a generally pleasant summer so far...

I think HectorTheAwesome is a troll, going by his posts on the 'Summer 2014' thread. Ignore and move on, I say.

Or maybe he's as sensitive to low temperatures as I am to warmth - but I do agree that he's being a little melodramatic.
