An absolutely beautiful sunset here in Manchester this evening! I love it when the sun illuminates the undersides of the clouds and all of the smaller fractus beneath them.

Nice one Scott, a bit milky here in the south-east this evening with a lot of cloud relating the the showers today but did have a great sunrise on the 6th October, with a cold front just crossing the South-east at the right time to interact with sunrise. :)

 

That's a really cool sunset actually! Nice shot. :)

One from this morning. The sky was aglow for only a very short time. I fiddled about with my camera for a minute after taking this, looked up and the redness had gone! Couldn't quite believe the shortness of the duration.

Must have been a good day for contrails yesterday, have seen many pictures on FB looking very similar, here's mine on the North Kent marshes....

Wow! That's excellent! I don't think I've ever seen such vivid contrails before.

 

This autumn has been absolutely brilliant for sunsets and sunrises. Ever since September 1, I've caught 25! Here's is tonights:
