September 2014 rainfall stats

Its been a notably dry September so far here. Apart from a douse of rain overnight on the 5th/6th, we've had no rain, and it looks like staying dry at least over the next 5 days.

 

Some parts of the country have seen a fair bit of rain, the NE of Scotland, but I suspect much of W/SW Scotland, N Ireland and particularly the rest of NW England and Wales has seen very little.

 

Still 3 weeks to go and a wet final week could easily produce a finish average or above.

 

Would be good to see stats for dry Septembers in yesteryears. I suspect very dry Septembers are far more likely than very dry Octobers.
