Foehn effect, Llandudno

I was visiting North Wales this week and was interesting to see the local microclimate of North Wales in action.

27th October 2014 was beautiful at Llandudno, yet cloud was nearby.

Snapped over Aberystwyth a few years ago. I liked it because the cloud seemed to match the coastline.

Bet the beaches were (slightly) busier than usual..for very late October anyway? One very mild day indeed.

Less so the beaches but the town was busy. Wednesday was cooler but glorious in Snowdonia.
