Miserable outside still, are we running the snow cup this year?!

I keep reading it's mild at the moment, my feet are telling me something else! Just stuck the heating back on!

It's definitely been cooler today than of late, especially in that wind. Brrrr.

Picture from near here yesterday. It is obviously of no artistic merit and I couldn't take one from another angle, without likely issues, as there was a school behind me and it was near closing time. I also don't live there and know no-one who does.

I took it because of the small tree in the foreground. :unsure2:

Saw the sun for a couple of hours earlier but it's clouded over again now with very occasional spit spots of rain every now and then.

Afternoon

Damp start this morning, took an age to get the car screens clear enough to drive, was nearly late to work, whilst it is not mild or cold it does feel chilly outside to me, glad to be back home and in the dry and warm now.  It nearly turned sunny here for a very short period but soon back to overcast and dull, feels like it is getting dark earlier than it should again.

Had some sunny spells until around half 1 and then it turned mainly overcast. Dry though today if a little chilly.

Cool out now and the dampness is back, looks like tomorrow will need an extra few minutes to prep the car in the morning.

Today, mostly meh, apart from a bit of blue this afternoon. Noticed when I got back this afternoon that it had rained here, but not 150 yards away. The garden - 4 inches of clay over 2 feet of gravel and another 20 feet of clay - is absolutely sodden.

Very 'meh' weather! Neither hot nor cold nor mild nor chilly nor damp nor dry nor wet nor windy but most definitely...

...Meh!

Dull day here, winter at its most boring! Mild with rain on and off, but nothing really heavy! :lazy:  I wonder which way winter will go? Repeat of last year, or cold and snowy! It may just carry on with what we have now! :(:cray:

Hi derp control . I have posted In here instead of model thread as I see conversation going against model output . I see your view and your charts and understand what your saying and respect it. I myself would prefer mild weather in winter but only if that means no snow and deep cold. ( bit of a extremist when it comes to weather) . I just found your post was very much to get a response. But in reply to your answer yes I would probably not batter an eyelid to a cold ramp but that is what 85% are looking for. (Hunt for cold) is that right ? Hey ho. :-)

Cloudy here with light winds

Nice to see your post John, thought something had happened as so many of the regulars were not posting, now we can all settle down to a winter of good posts and plenty of snow.....well one out of two isn't too bad!!but even a few flakes will be better than last year.

Roll on the snow depth league!!!
