Early morning rain cleared by 0930 and it was then dry and cloudy until 1500 when a sharply defined clearance moved in from the north west. There was some late afternoon sunshine on the opposite side of the valley, but not here as the sun had already set behind the moor to the west when the clearance arrived.

After overnight rain, it was a dry day with increasing amounts of sunshine. Noticeably colder this evening with temps of 3c, perhaps a ground frost by morning, first of the autumn so far.
