The run up to Christmas 1935 was cold and frosty but snow was limited.

It became milder on Christmas eve

There were severe floods across parts of Southern Europe at the end of the month. 8 people died in the province of Avila and parts of Madrid were flooded. There were floods on the Rhone, Saone, Ardeche, Loire and Garonne. 40 people died because of floods in Skutari in Albania.

One of the months I thought was of interest in terms of being cold but perhaps with not much snow? It was quite wet despite the chilly CET.

This sliding low does look like it brought some snow to the south west...
