Why the confidence in snow falling in Newcastle on Xmas Day?!

 

Not confidence, but latest models are showing a slightly more northerly element to the NW over Xmas Day and Boxing Day. Big *IF* but if this came to fruition, Newcastle would very likely see some wintry ppn. Remember, wet snow/hail/sleet all count!

I've looked at the uppers and dew points I'd say places like Norfolk might get some white stuff
