Much uncertainty where the low after boxing day tracks.

Will it snow /rain ?? who will get lucky ??

Only certainty at the moment is 75 posts in the model thread will be removed as it get very IMBY

For a bit of fun place your bets purely on an IMBY perspective will you get any snow how much and how long will it stay for

I think in North Oxfordshire I will get 5cm of snow it will settle on cars only however as I will be in Poole over that period will probably get light drizzle and will be ‘pleasssssed’ fellow members are getting some over the xmas period

As a Poolite, you can be assured of drizzle, nay even rain to add the good measure.

As a joy of living in England's warmer region, rain never fails, but falls.

No snow here in Nottingham I believe, however I'm in Northumberland until 29th Dec, so may hopefully just see a few wet snow flakes from it!

I think London will get some measurable snow and the Home Counties further N/E you are the better chance of getting some snow, I see the low tracking south down North Sea then going SE into euro and for the rain to turn to snow not gradually but abruptly. Widely 2-5cm perhaps 10cm on the hills. :yahoo:

I think theirs a good chance of snow here, but I will be happy for the southerners if they get snow and I don't :smiliz19:

I have seen many forecast tracks of similar systems make fools of the best over the years when T0 occurs so I, ever the optimist, am saying west/central areas will do very well with the low slowing as it heads south and the cold air behind working its wonderland magic, 10cms for me please sir...

No snow for me and I won't be crying into my porridge. There may be a dusting elsewhere in the Highlands and good luck to 'em! I'm liking the look of Krimbo day, clear, sunny and cold. Perfect for settling down with a decent glass of malt before dinner!

At my height ASL it should be a formality but after the last couple of weeks where expectations were high but everything was just the wrong side of marginal I'm not expecting anything.

That way helps to limit the disappointment.

Its probably going to be down to ‘now casting’

ie.. dry, drizzle, rain or what the fu** was that models always sh** ………etc etc

Always struggle to locate the ‘now casting model’
