    A fairly widespread risk of seeing some snow over the next few days across the UK.

    I like that Nick and you may well be right about the Alaskan ridge having the possibility of changing the pattern. Hope you are right as it would coincide with my annual pilgrimage to Wengen. Currently I have to say I rate it only about 40% but like I said I really hope your probability is higher than mine.

     

    For it to happen the main Canadian trough has to edge further west and stop pushing parts of it ese into the Atlantic, that would allow the wave length to move sufficient for a ridge wes/NW of the UK and a marked trough just east of the UK=fingers crossed.
