Cloudy for much of yesterday evening with a few light snow flurries around 2200. The cloud eventually cleared during the early hours but there was still a slow rise in temperature, with a slight thaw below 300m, before it eventually fell back below 0c shortly before dawn.

Currently it's clear and sunny and with everthing thickly covered in snow it looks much colder than it actually is.

Today would have been 4 consecutive ice-days, but the temperature's just reached +0.1c ... Ah well!!

You certainly have a different climate to down here in sunny donny. How much lying snow have you got; quite good for here, the second day with well over 1/2 the ground covered in 'white' snow, about 2cm, so looking out as it goes dark we may well start tomorrow with at least 1cm of more than 1/2 cover. Quite the best spell of snow cover here since March 2013, indeed the only one!
