    A mild and breezy night after a clear start with a slight ground frost. Occasional light rain during the late evening and into the early hours but this had cleared well before dawn.

    Dry and windy at present with very weak sunshine.

     Turning more cloudy last night, becoming windy too through the early hours, accompanied by a rising temperature, so very mild by morning. At observation, windy, mild, bright.

    Rain and drizzle early last night,  a decreasing SW wind and mild overnight.

    Bright intervals first thing, soon cloudy/ dull and drizzly. Light to moderate SW wind increased fresh to strong this afternoon. Very mild indeed.

    Remarkably mild.. 16.2c. Max 16.3c so far. Not sure what the record is for this area.

    Incredible for the coldest period of the year! Several spots close on 16c including Exeter Airport and Yeovilton.

    Briefly sunny this morning before turning overcast this afternoon. Temperatures have generally been 9-10C since the early hours but there has been a rapid increase in the last half an hour or so. Exceptionally mild for January.

    The January record has just gone here, previously 14.3C set in 1993.

    Its currently 14.5C so the warmest in at least 36 years!

    Early morning high cloud moved away to leave sunny periods from 1000. Thin and fragmented cloud began to move in from the west by midday, bringing intermittent light rain. The rain became more persistent by mid-afternoon but cleared by 1600.

    It became exceptionally mild and very windy with a W gale.
