So we've reached 17c today in Finningley (Doncaster), meaning we're just 1.3c short of the January record. Many places are up into the mid-teens, how warm has it been where you are?

All change tomorrow btw - even some snow across the northern half of the UK!

Bearing in mind the averages for the time of year, it's all pretty impressive:

With the sort of highs we've recorded in the past 2 winters I do wonder if we'll hit 20c at some point during a winter

16.6c December 2013

16.0C December 2014

17c January 2015

The record winter high is 19.7c set back in 1997 at Greenwich Observatory (London)

Reached 15C here, the first time I can remember doing so in January, and the highest temp was after sunset.

Actually, what's the January record for England? All the 17+ records on the Torro site are in Wales or Scotland. Has today done it?

16c briefly here tonight. Glorious. Would have been early shorts weather had it turned milder a bit earlier and it wasn't so windy.

Can't wait for spring now. :D

So a maximum of 17C, a full 10C above the seasonal average. To think the response of temperatures 10C below normal would bring in here at this time of year.

Maximum of 15.5 early evening here, and the same was recorded at the official station at Reading University - probably a January record for Reading.  Mid morning it felt almost springlike in the sun when sheltered from the wind.

16.3c here beating the highest in my relatively short term (since 2008) records of 14.3c on the 20th January 2008.

Not sure what the record for here is, or where to easily find out but the second graph on this page suggests the Yeovilton 1964-2007 record is just below 15c, and they reached 16.1c yesterday.
