Showers to start some persistant becoming a little drier but wind picking up very windy at times  with more showers ,max 12 deg,min 3 deg

Cloudy start with rain persisting until late morning.  Dry thereafter with sunny intervals in the afternoon, but becoming very windy from lunchtime onwards with gusts to gale force.  The wind has now started to moderate.  Maximum 13.6, minimum 9.5.  Wind fresh W.
