I am not sure where to put this so I will insert it here. Spain does seem to have copped it very badly with this event which follows the recent one in central Europe.

I don't think it is advisable to get into a climate change debate but I wanted to note that there have been some terrible storms out our way this year in the AsiaPacific region. I won't list them all because I am sure you have followed the News of devastating floods from China right down the Pacific rim.

Worse than ever? I do not know. But a bad year for them.

Certainly not whilst we retain our anticyclonic weather.

The low we sent them 10 days ago is propping up our high pressure and whilst no easterly movement exists  in the Atlantic, the 2 of them are just nice and cosy.

Thank your lucky stars it wasn't reversed!!!!

Attention!! at the departure of the GFS6Z, it would put another DANA of very important dimensions over the peninsula, we are talking from 120h, from next Wednesday forward, and not all the models or see, it will have to be followed, because it would go associated with a core of up to -31 to 500 hPa, a real mess.

Unfortunately, this is one of the predicted problems with climate change, stagnant, non moving weather systems will bring severe drought to some, continuous rain to others.

When it flips, the drought stricken areas have baked land, so the rain just runs off without soaking in taking soil and rocks with it.....so it just gets worse. 

We cant stop what is happening we have to adapt, and quickly, however, as it isnt important to people in power, or even acknowledged, nothing will change and humankind will continue its path until the food starts to run short.

If the AMOC changes path or stops completely, then Northern Europe is pretty much stuffed as an agricultural producer in its present form.
