A sunny start to the day, however cloud starting edging up from the South East and it turned cloudy/overcast by around 1. It remained mostly cloudy with occasional sunny intervals till mid afternoon, and then quickly brightened up again after 5 to leave a sunny end to the day.

Forecasters expected a warm-blue sky day with some fair-weather cloud

They had predicted a band of cloud to head our way but to dissipate to leave a nice day, however, that cloud did not dissipate and we have 7/8's of the sky covered from 1 O'clock onwards.
