The haze and gloom is gradually lifting and now looking very ominous to my south/southeast..convection is going into overdrive again as it does in these sort of conditions.

An all or nothing day again today

I doubt the storms today (if there are any, and by the looks of it there will be) will be as widespread as yesterday. Could possibly be as intense as yesterdays depending on how quick convection occurs.

In Burnham yesterday at around 6.00pm there was loud thunder but no lightning as reported by my other half and brief torrential rain, I was in Colchester at the time and was expecting the same storm to move north and effect the Colchester area some 30 minutes to an hour later but only received moderate precipitation but no lightning/Thunder although conditions were very humid.

It seems that the BBC went a little over-the-top today, seeing as a vast majority of the storms they forecast across the Southeast failed to materialise.

Here in Rugby we are in the fourth quieter interlude. Just thunder and a bit of IC. Storm still looks like producing more. Its lasted nearly 2 hours :D
