Mostly cloudy overnight, further slight drizzle, mild. Cloudy this morning, bright spells developing just after the observation. Further bright spells, though mostly cloudy through the afternoon with a little intermittent light rain. The evening saw more continuous moderate rain, this clearing around 20:30 GMT.

Sleet for a short time yesterday evening at the back edge of the rain and further sleet showers after midnight. The latter part of the night was clear and chilly with a slight air frost.

A few glimpses of sunshine earlier this morning but it's clouded over quickly in the last hour.

Clear cold start but soon clouded over with showers around lunchtime and more persistent rain from mid-afternoon onwards.  Maximum 9.8, minimum 0.5.  Wind moderate SW.

 

In the meantime, I was thinking that November here has been exceptionally dull.  Just checked the Reading University stats and these confirm that I wasn't imagining it - the sunshine total for the entire month to date is less than 20 hours, or around 30% of normal, and 15 sunless days so far out of 28.  Has anyone else noticed that it's been a particularly dull month?
