mostly clear sky, current low is -0.2C

it may have been seen as a mild month by some but in terms of frosts for here, only 2 below the average for the month in both air and ground.

Further light rain last evening died out before midnight. Clear spells developing through the early hours allowing frost to develop. This morning, frost, shallow fog over near by fields, visibility around 300 yards. Fog thinning to mist by observation, sunny, frosty. Sunny spells through the day, cloud increasing at times, dry.

A dry and clear night. Cloud increased temporarily towards 0600 but has since broken again and it's been mainly sunny since 0815.

Did anyone catch TS's bbc1 late forecast last night?

"rapidly going downhill from the west" looks something of an overstatement? as rainfalls southern extent looks to be just skirting the northern coast of N IRE? (latest 9am radar image)  whereas Shafernaeker  had a full rain band sweeping just about all of the uk? 

Unless the cold front is further behind the warm just out of radar coverage with the occluded portion further north?

funny feeling the AH as more influence here lookin at the 500 charts but hey,  wadoo i know? :D
