New forum skin - what do you think?

We have a new forum skin available, it's still in development at the moment but the intention is to make this our new default skin. The skin itself is quite minimal still, but with more colour and differentiation between content than the existing skin, it's also got some really nice design touches as it's a professionally designed skin which we're modifying.

One of the really nice items is the optional header image at the top, you can change this to one of a few options by clicking the paint brush top right of the screen. Before going live with the new skin we'll be adding additional options to it, and will have a selection which represent the seasons and different weather types.

If you'd like to try the new skin, please head down to the bottom of the page, click the 'themes' link and select 'Netweather 2016'. Please feel free to share any feedback you have, the skin is a work in progress so we'll definitely be taking your views on board.

    Thanks

    Paul

You have the grey vote.... (although there is a lot of 'flashing' at the top of the screen) so gone back to standard

Thanks for all the feedback so far, much appreciated.

Stew, just wondering what's flashing up top, as there's nothing designed to flash by design?

I've set the Netweather 2016 skin as the default now, but the old version is still available for those who prefer it - just head down to the themes menu bottom left and select 'Netweather (old version)'.

New theme looks good, but it's a bit more 'obvious' on a work PC than the old one. Not that I'd be on here when I'm supposed to be working, oh no.

First impressions: like it a lot. Clean and clear demarcation. Being really pedantic, the font colour in the posts could be slightly darker to contrast better against the light background.

More modern, smart, clean and fresh and much more definable.   Well done.   I like it!
