The Mostly Weather podcast has begun a 3 part series on how weather forecasts work - starting with Ep1: Observations

Recommended Posts

Hi there,

Thought you might all be interested in a new three part series from the Met Office's Mostly Weather podcast, which will be tracking in a fair amount of detail the forecast process - from taking observations, to generating the forecast and finishing at how the forecast is communicated.

Episode one, which is now live, looks at a number of different observation related topics, facts and statistics - and investigates how observing the weather around us contributes to the weather forecasting process.

Episode one is available to download now on iTunes and all other podcast apps.

Alternatively you can listen on the Met Office website: http://www.metoffice.gov.uk/mostly-weather/episode6

If you have any questions for the next episode in the series, generating the forecast, then you can send them to mostlyweather@metoffice.gov.uk and we will answer them in the next episode.
