Dry with 7/8 cloud cover starting to clear from the NW after a wet night, 14.0mm, and even moderate snow around 0315, a low of 0.7C but no sign of any ground frost, everywhere wet.

Persistent moderate rain yesterday evening with some sleet easing around midnight to leave the odd wintry shower in the early hours. A min currently at 0.8c

A dusting of Snow has managed to settle above 400m.

Currently; Wet ground with sunny spells and feeling chilly in the Northerly wind.

Sleet yesterday evening turned to snow after midnight and gave a temporary covering of 1cm during the early hours.Apart from bits of snow in the shade this has thawed and it's dry with sunny intervals at the moment. The hills to the north ( Big Moor and Sir William Hill) are white with snow.
