Variable cloud with Cu and Sc from the spreading out of Cu. Temp 6C and the wind WNW 15mph.

Note the difference between the Camborne and Albermarle soundings where the tropopause is down to 485mb.

A dry night with clear intervals and a slight air frost and dry with sunny periods so far today. The ground above 290 m is 70% covered with a layer of frozen hail and snow about 0.7cm deep.

A mainly dry morning with sunny periods. A dry start to the afternoon too but moderate-heavy showers of snow pellets and snow moved down from the north by 1435 g.m.t giving a temporary snow cover above 270m. The shower was accompanied by one flash of lightning and a clap of thunder at 1450 g.m.t with more rumbles of thunder to the north west about 20 mintues later from a separate shower. Sunny spells followed the showers but there were a few more light showers of snow pellets by 1800.
