Does anyone know of timings, even rough times of day for the Flying Scotsman comign from York to Edinburgh tomorrow (sat 14th) and back Tues 17th May. I live so close to the mainline east coast it would be a shame to miss it

    A rough idea.

It is expected into Durham at 4.40pm that day and should roll through Newcastle at 5pm on its way to Edinburgh, where passengers will alight for a three-day break. So you might be able to catch a glimpse of the train as it heads up through Northumberland towards the Scottish borders.

All times are listed below and you can track her progress throughout the afternoon to see if she's early, on time or late

She didn't haul the booked train to York today - 'not fit to run'.
