How can typhoons make their way as far as Tokyo region?

Hi guys,

 

we all know that typhoons need warm ocean temperature to survive.

 

What I don't get is how typhoons can make their way as far as Tokyo region since the ocean temperature in this part of the world is relatively low (around 20°C these days, although I know we are only in June)

 

If someone could give me some info
