Pencil me in for 17.7C. A wet month but a warm one due to minima.

Very few predictions - must be the summer slumber.. Not expecting a particularly cool or warm month,a near average 16.4 degrees, with a marked NW-SE divide, different to how June has played out, a cool start everywhere, becoming quite warm for the south before mid month, and staying warm through until the end, but often cloudy which will supress maxima, it will be the minima which holds the temp up. The NW predominantly average or cool, a plume event could occur mid month, but it will be shortlived. Not expecting the chill of late July last year - that was shockingly cold for the time of year.

Another indifferent summer beckons I feel.

    I'll start off with 16.5C.

Flat as a pan - no block to the east to stop lows ploughing through, no shape on the jet to allow more than a day or two of warm weather from the south at a time. May change by mid-month but by then it will be too late to swing things far one way or another. So I'm going for average average average ... and if I were betting one way or the other, slightly below.
