I am going to plump for a CET mean of 12.4C if I may. I think that there will be some anticyclonic spells associated with high-pressure extending from the Azores and across Europe at the start of October with light mainly southerly winds bringing some warm sunny days but chilly nights with fog (but no air frosts). From mid-October onwards I expect wet and windy conditions associated with persistent west or south-westerly winds that will bring mild conditions to England generally.
