weather advice for charity bike ride

hi there , ive just joined the forum so not exactly sure if im in the correct section. Im doing a charity bike ride the lenght of the leeds liverppol canal in one day. I was hoping someone could point me in the right direction of which day to do it.

Ive pinpointed next wednesday, thursday or friday. My only concern is wind and rain. Temperature doesnt actually matter. I was told the wind generally blows east to west therefore ill be starting in liverpool.

Any advice would be gratefully received...
