Although I haven't researched any records, it has been very dry since last July here in Essex. We had a very warm July, August and September. Winter was generally mild and dry with little rain and the spring has also been dry so far. I am sure nature will have its way and we will probably have a wet summer. But if this carries on surely there will be restrictions?

Dryist  7 months for some considerable time in north Kent according to the Environment agency.

With many areas in the south currently expected to see barely any rainfall for the rest of the month, the risk of hosepipe bans this summer is pretty significant IMO. Could do with a good wet spell.

Well I keep saying to myself, I wont water because theres the chance of a little rain tonight or tomorrow but all that turns up is a light drizzle in the wind for a few minutes. I would sacrifice any warmth now for the end of April and into May if we could get a decent spell of wet weather. But knowing British weather for what it is I would not be surprised if its the early Summer when Wimbledon is about to start that will end up wet.
