Well at least you appear well positioned for the cell leaving Swindon at the moment..unless of course it dies a death as yesterday.

There does appear to have been a shift in wind direction too, from NW to NE

Wouldn't bet against it dying.

Now looks dark to the east of here but blue sky to where everything's coming from at the moment.

Well, another day of missing every shower, despite showers covering almost every square inch of the country. facepalm.gif

On the upside, i'm only two dry days away from a record of the most dry days in a month, hopefully beating July 2016.

Will be 22 dry days here if the approaching shower dies which it looks like it will. Seen a few showers pass either side of here but nothing here apart from a few spots of rain under blue sky earlier.

2 out of 4 required, looking very likely Friday and Saturday but you may even do tomorrow first unless the next weak front holds more water.

I've done pretty well dodging the worst of the showers today with just lovely cloudscapes going either side, but a particularly heavy (even torrential) hail shower is currently moving through making a loud noise outside and leaving a slushy covering on the cars and grass. Took me by surprise.

Took these images from Kilmersdon on the massive hail, sleet and thunderstorms that hit our patch yesterday.

Very nice indeed.
What kit and software are you using to do that?

We did get a few spots yesterday at 7pm, registered as 0.2mm.
Noticed temp had dropped from 12c at 5pm to 6c at 7pm.
Was 4.5c at midnight and dropped to 2c 4.30am.
No sign of frost here again though, but just up the road a few miles and reports of a slight wipe away frost on the cars again.
Now 3c, 1020.8 hPa, NW 4mph, 89% humidity.

SW rain dome seems firmly in place as the approaching rain disappears as it approaches..

A low of exactly 0°C last night with another frost this morning. Very similar to the last few days now with mostly cloudy skies and the sun coming out every so often. 12.2°C.

Like Mapantz, and Matt11, the rain cruised by and missed us, again., even though we are under total cloud cover.

Not been a bad day here particularly if were you in the sun sheltered from the wind. Cloudier now than it's been all day with a bit of convective build up

This is the state of the grass around here at the moment. No significant rain for a number of weeks.

Very similar in these parts. I've lost count of the number of weak fronts giving a few minutes of measly drizzle this month, another ongoing right now.

Quite feasible that Sunday, last day of the month, will more than double the monthly total.

Cloudy at the moment with Ac and some quite large Cu below which appears to be dissipating. Recent slight rain (could have been a shower). Temp 9C and a light breeze from the NNW.
