A convergence zone is setting up in the Midlands, as the colder air to the north meets the warm air in the southeast.

As a result thunderstorms are breaking out, and it *could* be an interesting evening in the southeast of England.

Some very low hanging clouds about and odd rumbles of thunder. Moderate rain at the moment. Had a few close strikes. I cant see anything severe happening.

A wonderful evening's display of lightning to my south/southeast with a vast array of CC's and CG's visible. Has now been lightning for some 3 hours, although it is decreasing now.

Also had a thunderstorm mid afternoon!

In the late hours of Friday 20th, there was thunder and lightning but not overhead, it appeared to be just to our south east over the Noth sea, but still heavy rain here into the erly hours of the next day with continued thunder - does this count? :?
