Sunshine and Showers: Avoiding them or having them take a direct hit?

  1. 1. Do you prefer...

    • Showers to miss you
    • Showers taking a direct hit
    • It depends how heavy they are and/or what I'm doing

When it comes to sunshine and showers setups, do you prefer the showers to miss you, or have them take a direct hit over you?

For me, I prefer them taking a direct hit, but mostly if they're heavy, or thundery. I especially love the ones which contain snow and hail. I'm flooded with disappointment when showers like those decide to do something very sneaky - deliberately avoid your area, or split up over you!

There's always that feeling of shock when a high-quality shower or thunderstorm literally avoids your area by a mile to your North, South, East or West!

Only when it's a day of sunshine and light showers, or if I'm doing an outdoor activity, that the showers can leave the Solihull Shower Shield alone!

    How about you guys/gals? :)

Must say in the last few days, the showers that have occurred here have been disappointingly light

Was almost tempted to add an extra option to the poll 'only if they're Snow showers' but it would probably just complicate things more.

(Anyway, sorry for the double post, I admit this is just an excuse to get the thread more attention) :spiteful:

If there's a chance it's going to snow then direct hit all the way. Thunder is different. I love watching clouds so during the day I don't mind if I don't get a direct hit if I'm close enough to see the lightning and hear the thunder, but I don't moan if i get one.

I'm always hoping against hope that that big train of showers is going to hit ......  Doesn't matter what it is, it almost always misses!
