Yeah, the one from Chesterfield as it started to push Eastwards looked so promising, but we're just getting rain

Arr, hate it when that happens :(

Yeah, the last time we had a decent storm was 2 years ago

We so badly need a ticket out of the No Storms Club, including anyone else who's been unlucky

lol, we've had a few good flashes towards the start of last month but its not as exiciting as a proper storm. But we're doing slightly better than last year which is better than nothing

Yeah, at least that's something. :) A proper storm would still be nice

Captured this just before it moved overhead, constant rumbles and occasional forks - tried hard but didn't capture any in a burst of over 2000 photos! Now it's very heavy rain and still rumbling on.

Cheshire storm getting pretty active. Wish it was dark, would be getting a treat of a light show.

A good storm over Malton at the moment Thunder lightning hail and gusty winds with torrential rain. Incoming shot and during storm taken through glass so quality isn't good.

Definite rumbles of thunder in the distance heard now :D some nice mammatus forming on the stretched-out anvil overhead.

That's the same storm that passed me 5min ago - I'm just a few miles west of you. Still getting lighting here, although the rain has stopped.

Got to eat my own words soon, constant rumbles towards Macclesfield being heard here now. Quite a potent little cell this is and it's inbound my way (fingers crossed).

Very intense rainfall echoes with the Cheshire cell.

Well that was fun for an hour or so! One clipper and one straight over us.

Shame it wasn't night as some of the lightning was multiple strikes but most of it lost to the light. Height road, about 1/2 mile up the hillside, took a beaut CG strike with near shotgun thunder.

Not expecting any more as it all shifts east but it's wet my appetite!

I caught the edge of a storm rolling along the Humber about 2-3 hours ago. I was on the north side at Hessle and the core went south across the opposite side so didn't get much more than some flashes and rumbles.

Since then my luck has ran out. Everything seems to be dying within reach of here (I am now near Grimsby after failing to catch up with the Cleethorpes cell). I'm a bit dubious about heading back home yet though, I have a feeling it's not over.

The Macc cell typically died out just as it reached here, but still good enough to have heard persistent rumbles of thunder with 2 lightning-strikes in the close area, not to mention the torrential rain. Not a memorable storm by any means but i'll take it as exiting the NSC for this year.

Storms dont seem to like us this year yet again. There's a cell East of Nottingham but I dont think that'll travel North enough for us as it'll probs head NE towards Sleaford into the North Sea
